Solent Sexual Health team are looking for a enthusiastic Specialist Pharmacist to join our team working within their HIV, Genitourinary and Sexual Reproductive Health Service.
The applicant should be willing to work within the Southampton locality within Sexual Health and the wider Solent organisaton. The team is established, proactive and forward thinking. The team works well together and invites applicants to support the large cohort of HIV patients and support the wider Sexual health service. The workload is interesting, challenging and varied. Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead Pharmacist
Role working across Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Trust
We are excited to offer the opportunity for an 8a Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist to join the team at Solent NHS Trust. Your role will work in partnership between the two Trusts with your time being equally shared between the two organisations. The respective Chief pharmacists are already working in close partnership and you will be accountable to both as you form an antimicrobial stewardship strategy for the two Mental Health and Community Trusts across the Hampshire STP.
You will be actively involved in strategic planning, education, training, surveillance and governance of antimicrobial usage. Within each Trust you will support the clinical pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver the plan for reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). With more than 50% of infections occurring outside the hospital setting across the UK, your role will be key to developing Community Health strategies for AMR. You will also be an active member of the South Coast Antimicrobial Network Group representing the Mental Health and Community Trusts.
